"Recent research shows that the Stows got the land from from their uncle John Biggs, a fellow townsman of Simon Willard in Horsmonden, Kent. His mother, widow of John Biggs, Sr., came over in the same ship with Simon Willard in 1634. She settled in Roxbury with her daughter Elizabeth, wife of John Stow, and mother of six children one of whom, Nathaniel, was an early settler in Concord. Thomas Stow sold his share of the Biggs inheritance, 333 acres, to Thomas Goble and Daniel Dean in 1660. Samuel Stow sold 666 acres to Henry Woodis who in turn sold to Goble and Dean."
