Notes for Harriet HEMPHILL

General Note
MRS. HARRIET ZAHLLER, AN AGED AND RESPECTED RESIDENT OF NEAR YELVERTON - Another of the links that binds us to the past in this lifetime has been broken by the death of Mrs. Zahller, near Jumbo, on last Thursday, February 19. Harriet Hemphill, the daughter of Andrew and Anna Hemphill, was born in Ross Co., Ohio, October 25, 1822. The family early moved to Hardin County near Belle Center when it was quite different from the present beautiful farming country. She was married to Joseph Zahller, September 28, 1843. They removed to the farm on which Joseph McLain lived and remained, later removing to the present residence. Five children were given to them, of which three are dead and two living. Wm. Hemphill of Belle Center and two sisters, Mrs. Robert Lane of Yelverton and Mrs. Collins also survive. Funeral services were held at the McDonald Chapel and interment took place at Yelverton.
